60 Days to Save West Africa? Bollocks!

In response to: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/ebola-outbreak-sixty-days-to-save-west-africa-9824352.html 60 Days to Save West Africa? Hahahaha. Thats a headline grabbing soundbite in exactly the same vein as "100 days to save the NHS". This is scaremongering in order to introduce feelings of Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. Typical NGOs wanting to maintain their "donation supply". Ebola will run its course. Get over it. People die. Sometimes at age 101, sometimes at 25. Welcome to the harsh reality of life. Move along. Nothing to see here other than a bunch of do-gooders raising their profile in order to top up their personal pension pots.

On Libertarianism and accusations of selfishness.

Libertarianism is not selfish. It promotes meritocracy without being told what to do by others with a vested interest. Liberty scares most people as it forces them to be responsible for their own actions without the safety net of a nanny figure. Socialism rewards failure. It allows an individuals', socially detrimental decisions to go unpunished and forces other members of society to pay for the choices and mistakes of the feckless. Libertarianism is about choice. Sit on your backside and starve or get busy and get a roof over your head. There is a need for socialists and their modernday, centre-ground, namesakes the "social democrats" to indulge in creating an entitlement culture amongst those that choose not to achieve their potential. Not everyone can be millionaires. However, the current incumbents of governments and legislation makers are doing their damnedest to remove the incentives needed to innovate, create and construct wealth. Eventually, if you follow their policies to the end, everyone will be on a minimum wage job. As legislation pushes it ever higher, eventually it will surpass the reward for doing something more skillful than a job requiring only the ability to get out of bed and tie ones shoelaces. LibLabCon is just a big socialist experiment and we need Libertarianism to stop the rot before we all succumb to being the lowest common denominator.
